WHAT WE BELIEVE
There is one Body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called into one hope of your calling: One Lord, One faith, and One baptism; One God, and Father of all, who is above all, and in you all." Ephesians 4:4-6 "
About God: We believe that there is one living and true God (John 17:3) Who has revealed Himself as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, and Who is worthy of all possible honor, worship, and praise. As Creator, Redeemer, and Ruler of heaven and earth. He is expressibly glorious in holiness and love.
About Jesus Christ: We believe in the full humanity and deity of Jesus Christ, His virgin birth, sinless life, death on the cross for our sins, bodily resurrection and ascension, present ministry of intercession of believers, and His personal and visible return in power and glory (John 1:1, 1:14, 1:18; John 14:8-9; I Timothy 3:16).
About the Holy Spirit: We believe in the personality and deity of the Holy Spirit (John 16:14) Who regenerates unbelievers, the evidence of which is repentance, faith, newness of life. We believe He indwells believers, enabling them to live a godly life, transforming them to the likeness of Christ, and keeping them by power of God until the day of Jesus Christ.
About the Scriptures: We believe the Scriptures of the Old Testament and New Testament are verbally inspired by God and inerrant in their original writings. We believe the 66 books of the Old Testament and the New Testament are God’s complete and sufficient revelation and therefore carry God’s authority for the total well-being of mankind---Psalm 119:97-104; Psalm 119:160; Matthew 5:18; John 5:46-47; John 10:35; II Timothy 3:15-16.
About Man: We believe that man was created in the image of God and was intended to have fellowship with God. However, since Adam, all men are sinners by nature and by choice, and are under the just condemnation of the Holy and Righteous God. We believe that without exception, every man and every woman is totally depraved and needs a Savior---Genesis 3:1-6; Romans 3:10-19; Romans 1:18, Romans 1:32.
About Salvation: We believe that salvation is by grace through faith in Jesus Christ alone, Who is the only and all-sufficient Savior and the only Mediator between God and man; and that the Gospel of salvation should be shared with every person in the world. We believe the Holy Spirit baptizes each believing person into the body of Christ at the moment of salvation and that there is no second baptism of the Holy Spirit---Romans 8:37-39; II Corinthians 5:21; I Corinthians 12:13.
About the Church: We believe that the church, the Body of Christ, is a group of baptized believers, associated by covenant in the faith and fellowship of the Gospel. The two ordinances of the Church are Baptism by immersion in water and the Lord's Supper, a provision of bread and fruit of the vine representing the body and blood of Christ.
About Tithing: We believe tithing is God’s method for financing the church. Malachi 3:8-10; Proverbs 3:9; II Corinthians 9:6
About the Security of the Believer: (Perseverance of the Saints) meaning that anyone who is truly saved cannot lose salvation. Ephesians 1:12-14, 2:8-9, 4:30; Philippians 1:6

First Missionary Baptist Church and Ministries seeks to transform our church into a caring community of Christians, to equip, and empower believers to live in authority of Christ as they develop spiritual gifts necessary to prepare for ministry in the areas of teaching, evangelism, discipleship, worship, intercession, and fellowship.
Mission:
Our mission is to save unbelievers and to disciple, equip, and transform believers into Kingdom quality people who glorify God in faith, family, fitness, and fun.
Method:
We will accomplish this task through an awesome atmosphere, wonderful worship, powerful preaching, purposeful evangelism, intentional discipleship, creative and innovative ministry, and continuous fellowship (Acts 2:41-47).
